Homemade Kataifi

Kataifi is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert that consists of shredded pastry, butter, nuts, spices and honey syrup. The pastry becomes crispy and golden when baked and afterwards it is moistened in hot honey syrup. Similar to the famous Baklava but with an entirely different texture. If you haven't tried Kataifi we advise you to drop everything right now and make it! It's an easy dessert that looks exceedingly complicated. It's perfect for every occasion and a wonderful alternative if you want to impress family and friends. Rizogalo (Greek Rice Pudding)

  Rizogalo is the dessert we both avoided as kids, it reminded us of Porridge. Rice?? with sugar??? and MILK???  A kids worst nightmare! Over the years we have come to really enjoy it.  Okay... who are we to sugar coat... we LOVE IT!  We have made a few adjustments to our Grandparents original recipe.
