Ingredients
1 cup caster sugar 3 cups Almond meal 1 teaspoon baking powder 3 egg whites 1 1/2 teaspoon Almond extract 1 packet Almond flakes
Method
1. Place the dry ingredients- caster sugar, almond meal and baking powder in a large bowl and mix
2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks
3. Add almond extract in egg whites
4. Gradually combine egg whites into the bowl with the dry ingredients until it forms into a dough density
5. Empty the packet of Almond flakes into a large plate
6. Form the dough into round shaped balls and coat them each in the almond flakes
7. Preheat the oven at 170° - 180°
8. Line a tray of parchment paper
9. Gently press the Amygdalota into the almond flakes coating both sides and place on baking tray
10. Cook for 15 min
11. Let cool for 15- 20 min
